When accounts reach the point where amicable settlement cannot be reached, CSI will forward them, on your behalf, to a commercial litigation specialist in the debtor's locale. CSI handles attorney selection and document forwarding, unless you have a firm you would rather work with. CSI receives excellent service and results due to the number and average balance of the claims we forward. Law firms want future referrals from CSI.

CSI acts as your liaison with the law firm to decipher long attorney letters, which are inherent in litigation. We make sure legal documents get to you and in turn back to the attorney when they should. When CSI forwards your domestic claim to an attorney, a one million dollar ($1,000,000) indemnity bond protects you.

Our legal department personnel are constantly monitoring the law firms CSI uses. CSI's list of approved law firms is the result of extensive research, computerized records on performance and adherence to ethical CSI policies since 1975. If a law firm is not conducting business in the proper manner, CSI will cancel them as a source for future referrals and notify associates at other collection agencies, law list companies, and the proper authorities if need be. CSI insists on the finest services and will not forfeit results for the sake of using a "Big Name" firm. No production = no referrals.

When accounts are forwarded for legal action, an additional fee is added to CSI's contingent fee as law firms often times charge more than our standard rate (usually increasing to 30%). There are additional charges if suit is entered. In most cases court costs and suit fees will not exceed an advance of 10%. CSI closely follows the file through the courts and into the sheriff's hands for execution of the judgment, keeping you informed of all developments.
